Attendees will have the rare opportunity to hear from local FAA Air Traffic Controllers, who will discuss policies and procedures which are important for pilots to understand while navigating through one of the most complex and busiest airspace locales in the Washington DC Terminal area. They will also discuss phraseology and communication procedures for pilots to be able to navigate the local airspace with ease.

The four-hour seminar is free, and pilots participating in the FAA’s WINGS program will receive credit for attendance.

15th IAIN World Congress

When you hear the word navigation, do you also feel the breath of the romantic past? Nowadays it is not just a few ships. Millions of people travel every day to distant places, ‘vessels’ not only cross the seas but also ride the highways and fly in the sky. If only a small percentage would not reach their destination in time, there would be great financial losses and worse, loss of life. Our demands on navigation and its accuracy and reliability are rapidly growing.

That’s why navigation systems utilize the latest knowledge of physics and mathematics and the most advanced technologies. That is also why we must monitor their latest developments.

So, we’re very pleased to organize IAIN’s World Congress in Prague this year. We invite you to meet modern navigation in person and we invite you to beautiful and hospitable Prague, full of historic treasures, music and arts.

František Vejražka, Congress Chair

Resilient PNT Forum IV

The fourth Forum on Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) will be held from 1600-1800 on 20 October 2015, immediately preceding the Conference in the same venue.

The inherent vulnerability of GNSS to disruption makes it essential to provide resilient supporting systems, particularly for safety of life and economically critical applications. Robust systems in the presence of interference, with integrity monitoring and authentication, can only be achieved through cooperative efforts by industry, administrations and user groups.

The objective of this fourth Forum is to focus on identifying resilient PNT solutions that support activities across all applications of navigation and timing and formulating an action plan to make them a reality.

There is no charge for this event, but those wishing to attend are invited to register their interest with the organisers.
