Israel Navigation Workshop & Exhibition 2022
INWE is a biennial event organized and sponsored by the Israel Association for Automatic Control (IAAC).
Following the huge success of previous events, IAAC is now starting to organise the 2022 edition, scheduled for 31 January next, at the Daniel Hotel, Herzliya, Israel. This workshop is a one day event dedicated to technical talks that range from fundamental research, to applications, to field test results.
Topics of interest include positioning, navigation, and timing in all their variations, sensors, systems, optimal integration of multiple sensors, and novel or emerging technologies in the field of navigation.
AHORN 2021
Schwerpunkte der Tagung waren Technologien für Ortung, Navigation und Kommunikation und die sich daraus ergebenden Anwendungen, die im alpinen Gelände eingesetzt werden können, aber auch Lösungen und Technologien, die in den Alpenländern entwickelt wurden oder dort zum Einsatz kommen.
Die Tagung zielte darauf ab, Bedarfsträger, Nutzer, Forscher und Entwickler zum Erfahrungsaustausch zusammenzubringen. Sowohl wissenschaftliche Beiträge als auch die Vorstellung praktischer Anwendungsbereiche der Navigation und Positionierung wurden präsentiert. Neben der Navigation kamen auch Kommunikation, Geoinformation und Erdbeobachtung zur Sprache.
Navigation 2021
Navigation 2021 will bring together experts from industry, research institutions, government agencies and investors whose primary goal is to work together for a more navigable world.
In November 2021, Navigation 2021 will unite two established conferences. The International Navigation Conference (INC) and the European Navigation Conference (ENC) will come together as one truly global showcase.
Navigation 2021 will take place as a virtual conference. We will review the situation in 2021 and if possible run an in-person element to complement the conference.
IAAC Workshop on Missile Guidance
‘We’re pleased to announce the forthcoming IAAC workshop on Missile Guidance, which (touch wood) will be held in the Daniel Hotel, Herzliya on 18 October, 2021. The workshop is organized by Dr Haim Weiss from RAFAEL. The program and the registration form are available in the workshop invitation and more details can be found in its book of abstracts.’
World Cargo Symposium
The World Cargo Symposium (WCS) is the largest and most prestigious annual event of its kind and the only one to bring together key stakeholders from the entire air cargo supply chain. This year it will be held at the Hilton Bomonti, Istanbul, 12 – 14 October.
WCS 2021 is the 14th event in a series and will feature plenary sessions, specialised tracks, workshops and executive summits, tackling aspects of technology and innovation, security and Customs, cargo operations and sustainability.
This event is expected to be attended by over 1,000 representatives in the air cargo business with more than 40 exhibitors; World Cargo Symposium, is to be hosted by Turkish Cargo.
IGS Workshop 2021
New dates: 27 September – 01 October 2021
Given the travel restriction that have resulted from the novel COVID-19 global pandemic and taking into consideration the general wellbeing of our IGS Community, the Local Organizing Committee and the Governing Board, have decided to reschedule the 2020 IGS Workshop to 27 Sept – 1 Oct, 2021.
Information on the IGS Workshop will be available via our new IGS website and will be updated regularly.
GNSS+ 2021
ION GNSS+ is the world’s largest technical meeting and showcase of GNSS technology, products and services. This year’s conference will bring together international leaders in GNSS and related positioning, navigation and timing fields to present new research, introduce new technologies, discuss current policy, demonstrate products and exchange ideas.
Unable to attend in person?
ION GNSS+ 2021 will include a virtual option for those who are unable to travel. Virtual Registration offers access to all on-demand conference content, live streams of select sessions, proceedings, as well as recordings of the sessions that were live streamed during the conference.
ION Joint Navigation Conference
JNC is the largest U.S. military Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) conference of the year with joint service and government participation. The event focuses on technical advances in PNT with emphasis on joint development, test and support of affordable PNT systems, logistics and integration. From an operational perspective the conference will focus on advances in battlefield applications of GPS; critical strengths and weaknesses of field navigation devices; warfighter PNT requirements and solutions; and navigation warfare.
FEDCON U.S. only conference attendance (August 24-26), held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, will be screened by the Joint Navigation Warfare Center and will be restricted to US only. The classified session, held at AFIT, will have US only Secret Clearance access (August 27). The exhibit hall (August 25-26) will be open to all conference participants, exhibiting organizations, their employees and related organizations. All materials displayed in the exhibit hall shall be publicly releasable (Publicly Releasable AFTER Review).

International Radar Symposium 2021
The German Institute of Navigation (DGON) and the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR cordially invite you to the International Radar Symposium (IRS) 2021. Following a very successful sequence of Radar Symposia started in Germany 1998, it will now be held in Berlin, Germany.
The International Radar Symposium aims to provide a forum for both academic and industrial professionals in radar from all over the world and to bring together researchers, engineers, experts and students from different organisations to share and discuss both theoretical and practical knowledge.

International Conference on Localization and GNSS
Reliable navigation and positioning are becoming essential in applications for IoT in industry and logistic applications, in smart city environments, for safety-critical purposes, in public services and consumer products to guarantee transparent, efficient and reliable workflows. A robust localization solution, which will be available continuously is needed regardless outdoor and indoor, and on different platforms. ICL-GNSS addresses the latest research on wireless and satellite-based positioning techniques to provide reliable and accurate position information with low latency. The emphasis is on the design of mass-market navigation receivers and related tools and methodologies, but also many kinds of sensing devices, wireless systems with localization capabilities, and location-aware applications are within the scope of ICL-GNSS.
28th Saint Petersburg International Conference on Integrated Navigation Systems
The 28th Saint Petersburg International Conference on Integrated Navigation Systems will be held by the State Research Center of the Russian Federation – Concern Central Scientific and Research Institute Elektropribor, JSC, on 31 May-02 June 2021.
Tentative topics:
– Inertial sensors, navigation and orientation systems
– Integrated navigation and motion control systems
– Global navigation satellite systems
– Gravimetric aids to navigation
Other topics can be added.
The Conference program includes plenary and poster papers. Invited papers and Panel Discussion are scheduled. All presentations at the Conference will be held in English or Russian and will be simultaneously interpreted.
The Brijuni Conference
The Brijuni Conferences bring an up-to-date perspective of the present state of a given topic with the fundamental scientific philosophy to stimulate a cross-disciplinary flow of knowledge and expertise from both the science and technology standpoints. The topic of the conference is to discuss some of the major challenges for humans settling in Space that must be explored by the tools of science and technology. At the hearth of these challenges are communication, navigation and propulsion. New ideas that meet these challenges shall be discussed in the interdisciplinary spirit and informal flow of ideas.
14th Baška GNSS Conference
Because of the global Coronavirus situation, the Baška GNSS Conference will not take place in Baška in May 2020. The organising team has decided to hold the event in May 2021. We hope that the event will be able to take place in person, but if not then it will go ahead virtually.
We hope that the extra time will allow authors to take their work further, do more analysis, to write more and better papers for the Baška GNSS Conference when it returns! The Call for Papers remains open and the conference will be back, so please submit your abstracts when you are ready.

Webinar – Maintaining competency and training during recovery

Pacific PNT Conference
ION’s Pacific PNT Conference is a global cooperative development of Positioning, Navigation and Timing technology and applications where policy and technical leaders from Japan, Singapore, China, South Korea, Australia, the United States and more meet to discuss policy updates, receive program status updates and exchange technical information.
Pacific PNT has been rescheduled to take place in 2022. No dates have been fixed yet.
DRONE ENABLE 2021
The symposium will bring together key stakeholders from industry, academia, government and international organizations in the unmanned aviation sector to exchange best practices, lessons learned, research material and challenges related to the introduction of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and UAS traffic management (UTM).
On the second day of the symposium, panel speakers will be featured from those who comprehensively responded to the problem statement in our revised Request For Information (RFI) regarding the advancement of the ICAO UTM framework.
The symposium will showcase the breadth of existing technologies, ongoing research and development, as well as describe commercial and non-commercial activities in this rapidly evolving sector of the aviation industry.
ION webinar on Mars Rover
The Institute of Navigation will host the Navigation of the Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover from Earth to Jezero Crater webinar on 23 March at 1:30 p.m. EDT. The webinar will be presented by Gerhard Kruizinga, Navigation Engineer, Mars 2020 Navigation Team Chief, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and moderated by Dr. Frank van Diggelen, ION President.

43d COSPAR Scientific Assembly
In light of the advice from the Australian Federal Government and with the current travel bans and need to safeguard our space research community at large, COSPAR 2021 will continue as planned, but with the addition of a major on-line component enabling the Assembly to become a hybrid in-person / virtual event.
The very extensive and indeed excellent program that our Scientific Program Committee assembled for COSPAR-2020 will be carried over to the new dates, along with the line-up of inspirational international and national speakers, the interdisciplinary workshops, as well as immersive social opportunities.
We are developing an approach that guarantees that every Interdisciplinary Speaker, oral presentation, poster presentation and workshop will occur at least once in a time zone friendly to attendees. Presentations will be a mix of in-person presentations from Sydney, live streaming and pre-recorded sessions.
ION PTTI and ITM
The Precise Time and Time Interval Systems and Applications (PTTI) meeting is an annual conference sponsored by ION with a technical program designed to disseminate and coordinate PTTI information at the user level, review present and future PTTI requirements, inform government and industry engineers, technicians, and managers of precise time and frequency technology and its problems, and provide an opportunity for an active exchange of new technology associated with PTTI.
In 2021, PTTI will be co-located with the ION International Technical Meeting, in San Diego, California.
A commercial exhibit and pre-conference tutorials are held in conjunction with the conference.
Tutorials will be offered on January 25; technical sessions will take place January 26-28.
Sealite webinar on the role of IALA
Marine aids to navigation manufacturer Sealite welcomes Francis Zachariae (FZ), Secretary-General of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) to speak on his organisation in a forthcoming webinar.
Francis will discuss the history of IALA and the organisation’s focus on the development of standards and guidelines to ensure the safety of all mariners. He will also discuss IALA’s strategic move towards becoming an intergovernmental organisation (IGO).
